I have Pitch theme installed on my website and have had IcanLocalize do translations into two languages.
The translations have been completed but even my original english website is completely messed up and the translations don’t appear well.
I am told by IcanLocalize team that I am having issue with a feature from your theme and WPML. The feature is Visual Composer.
I sent everything to ICanLocalize. It has been translated / sent back fine. But it is not properly renderized in my site.
Request you to please assist on how can I get this addressed. Many thanks in advance for your help.
Cheers
PH
Hi pineh
Sorry to hear about this challenge. So to confirm, you’ve run into a problem with the plugin: Visual Composer? Is that correct? If so, Visual Composer is a premium plugin with support, it might be best to try chase this down from that side of the problem.
Hi Andrew. Thanks for your reply.
I cannot say for sure whether visual composer is the problem.
This is just a hit in the dark. Can you please assist and suggest what the probl
Could be?
Thanks
Is it perhaps just the home page that’s having problems?
Not really.
Features appear in all languages
The home page pictures don’t appear when you pick a new language
Clicking on projects pics don’t appear
Sliders don’t appear
Once a language is chosen, switching between pages doesn’t remember what language was the choice and it keeps toggling back to English
Contract forms don’t get translated.
Etc etc
If you take a few clicks on the listed website you will know these issues and more.
Pitch was never tested with WPML so I’m not really sure where to begin here. That’s a long list of challenges. I’d suggest testing without Visual Composer. You could even test without any plugins activated except for WPML to try narrow down what’s going on.
Hi Andrew,
I have had no luck with this one.
WPML team has confirmed that the theme in WordPress admin, It seems to be compatibility issue with your theme.
This is what they said:
“We have a program here
http://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/go-global-program/
Where we work with plugin authors to work out the compatibility issues.
Would you like to interest you plugin author in it?
We are ready to join forces with him and work together to solve this compatibility problem.
Please contact the author and ask him if he is ready to work with us. If he do, please provide us with his contact details and we will do the rest.”

Can you please click that link and review and let me know if you would like to work with the WPML team to make the theme work?
Hi pineh
Although Pitch is still a supported theme there aren’t any plans to develop it further at this stage. It uses custom post types, due to changes in the WordPress.org directory rules we can’t update the theme without completely overhauling it. For these reasons it’s not practical for us to invest time in WPML compatibility – for this theme. If there are any small coding challenges we can help out with, we’d be more than happy to do so. If you’re a premium Pitch user we’d be more than happy to move your license over to our Vantage theme which works much better with WPML. In that event we’d advise you on how to create a similar home page using Page Builder.
Sorry I don’t have better news here.
Andrew,
I am happy either way – as long as you commit to sort this out for me and make it work and get me responses that allows me to be up and ready asap.
I am not a premium pitch user – I couldn’t find where to buy it – same applies to Vantage.
I am happy for you direct me and get this started but you will have to commit to me that this will work with WPML.
Please Let me know.
Vantage on it’s own has two challenges with WPML. One is the home page slider. We can use a child theme to switch that per language if needs be. Two is the footer copyright text isn’t translatable. Earlier this week we helped a WPML client out with that by moving that text into a widget. If you send me a mail with a link back to this thread – [email protected], I’ll send through a copy of Vantage Premium. You can try it out, if you’re happy you can upgrade.
