Page Builder JavaScript error; isHidden

10 years ago · Last reply by bobdonderwinkel 10 years ago

Hi There,

I’m getting the same Page Builder error as mentioned in this thread: https://siteorigin.com/thread/page-builder-javascript-error-ishidden/

The Page Builder does not load, and i see this error:

admin.js?ver=1.0:2142 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘isHidden’ of null

The site is using WordPress 4.1.6 running Divi theme. And the Page Builder did work, the error appeared after making a few text adjustments.

Is there a fix for this?

    Hi Bobdonderwinkel

That isHidden function is used in one place in Page Builder, and that’s when getting content of a widget that contains a TinyMCE editor. Are you using any widgets with TinyMCE editors on your page? Can you give me a list of widgets that you are using?

    Hi Greg,

I’m not sure where to look for the widgets, in Appearance > Widgets?

Here are the used WP plugins:

    CodeStyling Localization
    Contact Form 7
    Growmap Anti Spambot Plugin
    Responsive Image Maps
    Share Buttons by AddToAny

    Thanks, Bob

    Hi Greg,

Do you have any pointer how to go about solving this? I see the ‘Use Default Editor’ option for page edit, but i am not sure if using that would cause more problems now.

    Thanks, Bob
