Not able to update text on web page from Site builder with current release.

By Tod Grubbs, 9 years ago. Last reply by Magus, 9 years ago.

Hi,
I am running WP 4.2.2. with the current release of the Vantage Premium theme and the current release of the site builder 2.1.4 with site builder widgets 1.3.1. When I go into any of my pages now and update some text it will not save, it reverts back to the previous text after the update page button is pushed. I tried a text and visual editor widgets and get the same issue…
There is no error generated I just can not save updates…

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Tod Grubbs

Could you please check for any javascript errors when saving the page

    https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Your_Browser_to_Diagnose_JavaScript_Errors

If there are no errors please try disabling all non SiteOrigin plugins and test again.

Let us know how you get on

This is what I get from fire fox. I was able to edit stuff on July
7th. You guys have had multiple updates over the last few days and that is when the issues started. no other plugins were updated over this time window.

the updates disappear when I press update page.

    Hi Tod

There is nothing in the updates that should have caused this issue. I am currently running all the latest versions with other plugins and have had no problems. Do you have a screenshot of the firefox output. If you do please upload them to your site or to a image share site and post the link here as we unfortunately do not allow image embedding in the posts.

    Magus,

I have done more testing and I get same issue on my Mac with Safari and firefox on my windows 7 pc.

I did print screens and text to a word document, I have put it on my drop box site so you can look at it.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Tod

We have made some changes in the latest version of the widget bundle to handle TinyMCE and you may be experiencing this issue because of this. Could you please try rolling these back to an earlier version. To do this you will need to download the required version as a zip file and then remove the current version and upload the new one from your computer via Plugins->Add New->Upload Plugin.

For the Widgets bundle please try this version

    https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/so-widgets-bundle.1.2.4.zip

Then test again. If the issue persists then please try changing TinyMCE to this version

    https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/black-studio-tinymce-widget.2.2.3.zip

    Thanks

    Magus
