We would like to create 2 sections which display content. One will display News Features the other will display Case Studies. Both will show half a dozen snippets of copy from each section with read more links and page numbered navigation for more pages and content underneath the last snippet.
Using Joomla this is an extremely simple task using Categories – however WordPress seems impossible, can you help.

This should be achievable using the post loop widget’s built in query editor. Open the editor and click on the Build Post Query button. In the Taxonomies field if you type category it will display a list of available categories for you to select from.
You can also set the items per page here for pagination. and the sort order.
