Hi I would like to know how I can change the name of the theme in the source code, for example: i see in this web www.biconsultants.com the following sentence in the source code:

[if (typeof jQuery == ‘undefined’)
document.write(“”);]

where the name of the site is in place of the name of the original theme.

Can I do it with my websiteon vantage theme? what are the advantages and disadvantages of doing it?

Thank you!
Laura

    Hi Laura

    It is possible to do, you would need to go into your site with FTP and rename the Vantage Folder to spotcontenidos remembering to keep the name in lower case. after renaming you will need to reactivate your theme. You may also lose customizer settings and menu/sidebar widget assignments.

    Let us know how you get on

    Thanks Magus, I am not going to change my webiste but I consider it for next web I could build. I think is a good option but applying it at the beginning.
    A question, if I change it, the theme will not be updated with the updates Siteorigin send to wordpress CMS, will it?

    Hi Laura

    The Theme should still update. You are not changing the theme name, just the folder name.
