Multiple Page Builder tabs on a a page/post

The scenario:

I have mutlipled wysiwyg editors on a single page in the wordpress backend, including the default content editor wysiwyg.

If I click the “page builder” tab on any wysiwyg editor besides the default content editor my screen jumps to the defualt content editor box with the page builder columns view ready to go, as you would have expected if I actually clicked the main page builder tab in the main content editor.

Is there a quick way to allow each wysiwyg page builder tab to work independently of the default content editor wysiwyg so I can have multiple page builder areas on the page?

It appears like multiple wysiwyg page builder tabs cannot work together?

P.S. I’m using ACF to create the multiple wysiwyg editor boxes.

I just wanted to follow up on this. I have confirmed this particular question isn’t addressed in the rest of the support area.

    Hi Danny

Thanks for reaching out. Sounds like this is the first time this has been considered on our side. The guys are deep in the early stages of our Page Builder 2.0 launch. They report that this might be possible with Page Builder 2.0 but we can’t say yet, unfortunately.

If you’d like to test out the first Page Builder 2.0 beta it can be downloaded here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/siteorigin-panels/developers/. Definitely not ready for use on production sites though. NNB point.

Andrew thanks for the followup. You may be interested to know that beta doesn’t even allow the page builder tab to show up on ANY content editor. I checked to make sure the settings for “pages” was checked in my use case test. Not sure if that even matters to you right now, since it’s obviously in beta, but let me know if you need me to investigate further as part of your development.

Hi Danny, thanks for getting back to us on this point. Are you saying the Page Builder tab doesn’t appear next to Visual and Text anymore? If that’s the case, could you re-test with plugins temporarily de-activated and see if Page Builder is conflicting with anything. Thanks!

Does the current version of Page Builder work in multiple WYSIWYG editors?

    Unfortunately, not at the moment.
