Move website

Hello,

We have created our website on a temporary server with a different domain name than the definitive one and we used PageBuilder to create pages. The problem we have today is: when we try to move the website to the final server and change domain name in configuration files and database, PageBuilder’s template are not available anymore. Is it a common issue ? And can we fix it without recreating all pages one by one ?

    Hi JL

    It does depend on how you transferred the site. Some methods do cause issues with PageBuilder. Please try using the following plugin to transfer your site.

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-clone-by-wp-academy/

    Install this on both sites then create a backup on the testing server and restore the generated file to the live one. This plugin makes all the alterations for domain name and site url’s for you
