After upgrade to WP 4.0 and Page builder 1.5.1 is missing “Add media” button when is PageBuilder plugin activated. So i cant add image from media library properly. How can I fix that?
I am having the same issue. Did you find a resolution?
No, i’m waiting for the developers.
Hey, do you have a good photo gallery that you use in page builder?
No, i’m using default media selector and “media file manager advanced”, but this has nothing to do with this issue. Page builder is standalone plugin with his own media selector.
Unfortunately changes in the WordPress 4.0 content editor meant that we couldn’t keep the add media button. You can still insert image widgets and gallery widgets though. The add media button was really just a shortcut for these widgets.
Hopefully we’ll be able to fix this at some point in the future.
how to insert images with ALL the attributes that Add Media button gave us?
#1. i’ve created a Page using Page Builder – using Widget, add some text to a row, Update page/file. then i “Switch to Editor” and then the normal/default wordpress panel with “Add Media” button is available. i do add a media image from the Library then “Update” again, the code is there but upon viewing the page the media/image does not display. going back to Page Builder tab the code is gone.
#2. as greg priday posted above, we can still use widgets, is there a widget that “acts” like Add Media button? the Add Media button returned the image along with all sub attributes for the image… alt, width, height, caption…
#2b. because now to get an image into a Page Builder page i create, i am 1. adding text widget. 2. then go to Media Library which ONLY gives me the url which i copy and then i have to figure out all the rest… (alt, width, height, caption).. this is sort of miserable and very time consuming, since we’ve all gotten used to the quickness/detail of the Add Media button.
is there a Widget that performs all the functions Add Media button does?
should my #1 work?
thank you for any tips
