Hi,
We recently have tried to migrate from Mero PageBuilder (which seems to be a fork from SiteOrigins Page Builder in its version 1.4 or earlier) to SiteOrigin PageBuilder.
To do that, we have overwritten the widgets from: meropagebuilderwidgetswidgets to siteorigin-panelswidgetswidgets. (sorry, it’s NOT because we didn’t like your widgets)
And we didn’t loose any content, which is REALLY great! But there are some styling issues, and this comes from the fact that Site Origin Page Builder creates a slightly different HTML, here’s an example:
(This remains more or less the same)
(this entire div tag has disappeared !!!)
(same from Mero to SO)
(“panel-builder” “widget-builder” are now called “so-panel” and “widget”?)
Well, the main problem is that missing: is a big issue for our styling at this point. (we have already tried having “container” styles in “panel-row-style”, and it didn’t worked well)
The other problem is that I am not familiar with jQuery or PHP, so I don’t know how can I tweak “siteorigin-panels.php” (without breaking anything) to make it generate that inbetween the other divs (and its closure, of course).
Please, can you give me a hand with this?
Please, please, please help us! We already have lots of content in the website, and we were so frustrated with Mero… and now… you see we are so close to find the solution!
I’m begging you! m ( _ _ ) m
(I know it’s not nice to ask for a tweak from your original work that already works smoothly)
I would LOVE to hear from you!
Thanks a bunch!
PS: I am aware that with all that modifications I would probably won’t be able to update PageBuilder… at least not without changing everything each time you update, but that would be far better than having Mero anyways.
Just added and “echo ” and it’s closure. Worked!
YAY!
