Media Library not functioning correctly

Using your Origami theme.
I see that Circle with the progress radar going around and no images showing. This is when I try to upload an image – even in media slider. Thought I should reinstall wordpress – but then I tried changing themes to twentyfourteen – and everything was working.
I have disabled all plugins…still didn’t work.
Reinstalled theme…still didn’t work.
Have cleared cache…still didn’t work.
Have increased max execution time to 120…still didn’t work.
When I upload the files, I get a HTTP error on wordpress media library. But the files are there if I view them through the wordpress Media – Library menu page in list mode.
So definitely a theme issue.
Please help!!!
