i tried to make a small change in my sydney athemes homepage (www.buddhayatra.ro), but when i pressed the update button, it all went back to text mode. switching again to page builder i lost everything!!!!

i tried this several times, it goes well for 1-2 rounds of pressing the update button but then it goes back to text mode, losing everything.

please help, i’m in a very confused situation.

thank you,
sega

p.s. now the home page is in a sort of maintenance mode.

…my guess is that one athemes widget from their latest update is in conflict with your page builder. both pages from my website that run that widget crashed from pagebuilder to text mode! the widget is “sydney FP: services type a”

    Hi Sega

Really sorry to hear about the hassle. We’ll do our best to help resolve.

We need to work through two challenges. One is restoring your data and the other is resolving the problem that led to the problem.

    Restoring
Do you have revisions activated for the page in question? If so, are you able to restore to a point before this happened?

    Main Challenge

We need to try run some standard troubleshooting steps to figure this one out.

    1. Create a new test page and clone an existing Page Builder layout.
    2. Does that save ok?
    3. If the issue is persisting then let’s:
    a. Run all pending updates at Dashboard > Updates. Re-test.
    b. Temporarily de-activate all non-SiteOrigin plugins. Re-test.
    c. If the issue resolves at step b. re-activate your plugins one by one, doing a test after each activation.
    d. If you still haven’t resolved here then de-activate all non-SiteOrigin plugins and test with Twenty Fifteen.

Let us know how this goes.

    Thanks :)

    dear andrew,

    thank you for the response.

meanwhile, athemes team found the issue. it was a conflict between their sydney widgets and fb thumb fixer plugin triggering a weird page builder behaviour. as soon as we deactivated the fb thumb fixer, things got back to normal.

thank you so much for your help,
    sega
