The icons on the header (top right) are not showing. It’s a SiteOrigin Button widget I’m using.
Hi Rishi
This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
Disabled all plugins. Issue persists.

Hi Rishi
We’ll investigate this and try figure out what’s going on. I can’t quite figure it out, but I’ll see what happens when our team put our heads together.
Will report back as soon as we’ve figured it out.
Hi Rishi
Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:
[email protected]
Just navigate to Users > Add New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the “Send Password” field so we receive the details.
Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

Now the icons appear to be working but the footer is disappeared. I’m guessing the site is hacked. How do I reinstall wordpress and then the theme / plugins again without erasing the database?
Hi Rishi
There’s an answer here on how to reinstall WordPress without losing all your content.

I’d also recommend deleting all plugins and themes from your wp-content folder, then reuploading each one.
If you do feel this was a site hack though, then there are a few more steps you could follow: https://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_My_site_was_hacked
