Hello people,
At first, a short introduce of myself. I’m Jasper and i’m 17 years old, living in the Netherlands. I’m into making sites since i was like 12 orso. Since i was 14 i started using wordpress and i haven’t ever got regret of that. Sorry for my bad grammar, i’m trying my best!
So, my question.
On my website, link: http://twentebestrating.nl/categorie/oudewaaltjes/ i want to show widgets in the sidebar, but i can’t find where i can set them. Where can i add them to the sidebar on a skillpage? (I renamed skills to categories because thats what i was using it for.)
My friendly regards,
Jasper van Doorn.
Hi Jasper
Thanks for reaching out.
Unfortunately, the project and skill pages don’t render the sidebar. There isn’t any way around this without custom development. Sorry, wish I had better news.
Thanks for the reply Andrew,
Can you help to make a little start of the costum development? Because so far i know you can include the sidebar as easy as it looks like?
You’d need to use a child theme, create a new widget area in the functions.php file of your child theme. Then move archive-project.php to your child theme and add in your widget area.
Pitch is one of our older themes and, unfortunately, isn’t responsive. At this point it might be worth pausing and making sure this is the road you want to head down.
