How to Get Comments off a page

Hello!

I am new to WordPress and I am using it to build a site for a class.

I created a new page on the Influence theme, and I cannot figure out how to get the “leave a reply” section off of the page. I went to the Discussion tab under Settings and turned off almost everything that seemed to relate to my issue, and nothing changed.

The page still displays “Leave a Reply…Name…Email…Website…Comments”

Would somebody please be able to point me in the right direction to removing this area?

    try page> quick edit > close or no comments

    PAGES>All Pages > (find your page) >(choose quick edit) > (then uncheck the comment box)
