How is Data for Portal Home Page Stored

First of all thank you for making the Portal theme free. I love it simplicity, and mobility friendlines, with your PageBuilder plugin. Both are great tools, for those of us that just want something simple.

I am curious how the data for the Home Page in the theme is stored though. I did most of my work on that
page, and after my site bing munged for reasons I don’t understand, I don’t seem to have access to my home page, like I originally did. This suggests that the data for the theme home page is not in the db and not in the file system, as I have full access to both of those in my backup data.

Curiously,

Hi. Glad to hear you’re liking Portal. Appearance > Home Page is the same as creating a static home page and using Page Builder to manage it. Due to an unknown reason Page Builder unfortunately is unable to migrate content via database import/export at the moment. You are able to backup and migrate Page Builder content however via the Tools > Import/Export feature in WordPress.

Sorry I don’t have better news.

Thanks for the quick reply. I was hoping for more. Well, at least I know how to make a complete back up for the future.

    In Gratitude,

Hi Atenhotep. For sure, I can understand the frustration here. If you go to Tools > Import/Export and make a backup from that location in addition to regular file and database backups, you’ll be good to restore Page Builder content.
