The file is a .ttf and is located in my FontBook on my mac. Not sure that’s the info you need?
Also, when I look at my website on an iPad or iPhone it really looks awful. Pictures are small, lots of white spaces. Could you please take a look and tell me how to optimize it? http://www.saveursdujour.net

The best way to optimize the images would be to use the higher resolution versions on the page. You can change this by clicking on the image in visual editor and clicking the pencil icon. We can then use Custom CSS to alter the width of the image to fill the width of the widget at resolutions where the items stack..
One more question on the font. Is it licenced to be used for this purpose?

I’ve just gone into the visual editor as you suggested, but I don’t see a pencil icon. I’ve never used this before so I’m not sure where to look.
Re the font – no I don’t have a license (yet). Have just looked at licensing options and it says it’s available for desktop, webfont, app license, sever & eBook. Do I need to get it for all those? (Excuse my ignorance!)

If you click on the picture within visual editor a small icon bar will appear above the image. The pencil icon is in there.
Foe licencing you will only need webfont unless you plan to use it in any printed publications or letterheads in which case you will need the desktop licence as well.

I did click on the picture(s) and there is no pencil anywhere. There’s a drop down menu with an “edit” option, that when clicked shows an editing toolbar in black, but no pencil.
It would be really great if you could walk me through it either in gmail chat or facebook messenger – not sure if you use either of those.
In the meantime I’ve purchased the license for the font, so just tell me what info you need.

Are any updates available for your installed plugins? If so please update them. There is also a newer version of the free Vantage Theme here

Please activate a default theme and delete the current Vantage you have installed. Then Click on the Add New button and select the option to upload at the top. Install the newest version from the link above and activate it.
You may need to add your floating social icon widget again afterwards.
For the font:
FTP into your website folder and under wp-content create a folder called fonts and give it permissions of 744.
If you are unsure of how to do this please post a private reply by checking the box at the bottom of the comment window supplying FTP details for the site and I will create the folder for you.
Copy the font file into this folder.

If you give me the name of the font file including it’s file extension ie ‘.ttf , ‘.eot’ then I can provide you with the import string and instructions on how to assign the font.

As for the image editing, the fact that you do not get the popup toolbar when left clicking on the image in the visual editor. This can be caused by a plugin conflict. Could you please try disabling all plugins except for those by SiteOrigin and Black Studio TinyMCE and trying to get the popup toolbar again?

Please try disabling that plugin and trying the visual editor again. If that does not work would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:

Just navigate to Users > Add New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the “Send Password” field so we receive the details.
Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

That is not necessary but if you wish to make a donation you can upgrade your version of Vantage to the premium version which is donation based, you pay what you want. This also entitles you to premium support. You can upgrade via Appearance->Vantage Premium.

I won’t need the link to the installation guide. The FTP details will be the details you use to connect to your host to manually upload files to your web space.
Could you please try uploading the font file via Media->Add New again. I have added a function that should allow it to be uploaded to the site backend.

Webfont uploaded and correctly integrated with the site. I have changed the title font and it is showing correctly.
I just have to deal with another matter but will help fix the slider issue as soon as I finish. We can go through finalizing the font styling when I get back.

I am back now and have logged out of your site. I added a child-theme to handle the loading of the webfont. This way any customizations you need to make in the future will not be affected by theme updates. The pencil icon is now showing when you left click an image in Visual Editor so I have changed the image sizes to the medium setting ones. These look fine on mobile but you will need to decide if they are too large on desktop. If so that can be adjusted.
What was the problem with the slider.

To change the font size and colour of you site title please navigate to Appearance->Custom CSS.
In there you will see one entry which is controlling the font for the site title.
#masthead .hgroup h1 { font-family: CuisineOT-Medium; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; font-size: 36px !important; color: #000 !important; }You can change the font-size to any pixel depth. The colour can be changed to any # value. More information on these can be found here.

I can see no references to tidio on your site. Are you editing through your hosting control panel or directly in wordpress/wp-admin.

You are logging in through the Tidio Elements portal which is why you are seeing these issues. If you login via http://saveursdujour.net/wp-login.php instead then when you edit the page you will get the correct Visual Editor.
I can see that you have managed to change the font size for your title, so there is just the issue you mentioned concerning the slider. What seems to be the problem there?

I DID go through my WP-admin – when I click on Visual Editor on the left sidebar, it brings me to Tidio.
I just checked the plugins and it says Visual Editor powered by Tidio. Maybe I need to contact BlueHost ?

I think this is something linked to your admin account rather than the site in general. When I view your admin pages I can see no sign of the Tidio Elements editor or plugin. This will be something that the host adds to the installation of wordpress to assist first timers in designing the site to their own preference.
It does make things a bit more difficult when trying to give advice concerning the visual editor and some other sections.
if it impacts too badly it can always be removed from the list of plugins by disabling it and then deleting it but I am unsure to what extent this will affect your existing alterations.
The best option would be to try disabling it first and seeing if the visual editor behaves as I posted earlier with the toolbar appearing above images when you select them.
I will be finishing for the evening now but will be online when you are tomorrow. Will hopefully speak to you then and we can finish up with getting the site in good order.
