How can I get access to the Google Map object created by a SiteOrigin widget on a page?

I get that under the covers SiteOrigin’s Google Maps widget creates a new Google Maps Object using the GoogleMaps API.
Is there any way I can get access to that object from within my own javascript function to do futher customization or tweeking?
