I am new to WordPress and new to the Vantage theme (although I’m loving it so far). However I am having a few styling issues that I hope someone may be able to help with.
1) How do I enlarge the logo in the mast header to make it more prominent. I have resized it but makes no difference, this seems to be the default size. Anything I can do in Custom CSS?
2) How do I “centre” the menu titles? This is probably obvious to those in the know.
3) and finally, on the meta slider, I have resized the image to the correct size (1080×420) but there seems to be further cropping on the image.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Meanwhile try placing this custom css at the bottom of the style.css file located via Appearance > Editor > Styles.css,

I have now removed the “coming soon” place holder.
Points 1 and 2 have actually been sorted, but point 3 still remains.
it can be found on the homepage at http://www.bemymechanic.co.uk and is the single image on the meta slider… maybe meta slider isnt the best plugin to use with a single image… please advise?

There is no issue using meta slider here :-) Try placing this in the Custom CSS section
body.responsive.layout-full #page-wrapper .metaslider .full-container, .layout-full #page-wrapper .metaslider .full-container { max-width: none; }Cheers
Hi Andrew, I'm afraid this still doesn't work. The original image is 1080 x
420 (the dimensions of the metaslider) but this plugin seems to zoom into the image therefore cropping the top and bottom of the original image. I must be doing something wrong… Any further assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:
[email protected]
Just navigate to Users > Add New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the “Send Password” field so we receive the details.
Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.
