“Hide Page Comments” setting has no effect

Hi,
thanks for a nice theme.

I have a problem though, when i check the box “Hide Page Comments” and save the box does remain checked but the comments stay on the pages.

When i check “Hide Allowed Tags” they dissappear like they are supposed to though.

Oh, I just realised that it ma just hide the comments but not the comment form? Is that it?

Do you know how I can remove the comment form from pages if I dont want it? Some plugin?
