Hi,
I’ve recently installed the CalPress Events plugin into my site which uses the Vantage theme. I’ve built my Home page using Page Builder.
While assigning widgets, I noticed that a series of hidden select boxes wouldn’t appear even after the corresponding checkbox was ticked. From the live display, the text is “Limit to Events with these Categories”, and the code in question is as the below.
Administrative

Men 1s
Men 2s
Men 3s
Men 4s
Men 5s
Men Masters 1s
Men Masters 2s

I note that this problem only occurs in Page Builder – testing it by using the Widgets function and assigning the widget to sidebars, headers and footers work.
Hopefully it is a quick adjustment and enhance Page Builder!
Sorry the code from the original post got sanitised. Here it is again:
Hi albs
Thanks for reaching out.
We’re doing a huge amount of ongoing development to Page Builder, this however is unfortunately one of those cases where the plugin in question will need to add it’s own compatibility for Page Builder. In the event the plugin author needs a hand with any specific questions, we’re here to help.
Sorry we don’t have better news here.
Hi Andrew,
Thanks for your reply. From evidence on their forum, CalPress’s people seem to never respond to support requests or may have stopped development, so I’ve just opted another calendar plugin in this case.
I do note that in general, these forms have had problems with page builder plugins… I’ve also tried All-in-one Event Calendar by Timely (and this has become the topic of another thread on this forum), and also tried both calendar plugins with another page builder plugin. The symptoms are similiar – either the select box won’t load, or the selections aren’t saved. Any high-level ideas on what conflicts there could be?
Thanks again
Albert
Hi Albert
The problem usually comes in with widgets that use Javascript – especially if that JS is written specifically for the widget interface. A lot of widges handle their JS in a way that works with Page Builder, but not all do.
I’m going to write up some documentation that developers can follow to make their widgets play nicely with Page Builder.
