Headline Widget Background colour full width

Hello,
I know there is the option to set the background colour for the headline widget but it does not extend the full width of the screen. Is there a way to do this? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

    Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at this? If you need to keep this URL private from other users, just select “Private Reply” on the bottom right of the comment box.
