Feature Request: Button for Short Code Activation

By Chas Newport, 9 years ago. Last reply by Daniel, 9 years ago.

This is a feature suggestion, can Page Builder be modified to have something like “SiteOrigin Button” which takes a short code like [popup url=”http://www.popup-url.com”]LINK TEXT[/popup] instead of a URL?
There are dozens of plugins which can trigger dynamic page elements which I would like to trigger from a button but the current widget can only take a URL or a fragment of java for tracking…
I want to have a series of buttons which popup different things without navigating off the page – I don’t want the user to have to use the Back button on the browser…. this way I can keep them on my page but show them several items which leave them on the page when they dismiss it…
Better still if you added a feature which allowed you to pop up SiteOrigin widgets or even a full Page with SiteOrigin components this would be fantastic for Landing Page and Sales Funnel Design…

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Chas

Unfortunately, this isn’t possible without some custom coding. I’ve marked this thread as a feature request. We often look through these threads to get ideas for what to add in our future updates. Hopefully, we’ll be able to add this in a future update.

If you need this urgently, you could always post a job on https://codeable.io/.

    Cheers.
