Error – Warning: illegal string offset in ‘info’ …

By twest1, 9 years ago. Last reply by Greg Priday, 9 years ago.

I’ve installed Page Builder some time ago and it was working. I was making some configuration changes and it stopped working. I disabled Page builder so I could continue working but now need it activated again but still have the same error. Do you think I can remember what configuration changes I made so I could undo them? Um, no.

Technical specs:
Wordpress WordPress 4.1
Theme AWSM
Many plugins installed but I “think” the one that may have cause the issue is “jonradio Multiple Themes”

Scenario:
– The main theme on the website is AWSM
– I’ve installed the jonradio Multiple Themes plugin which allows you to associate a different theme to a sub-page
– I’ve associated the woocommerce Storefront to the subscription boxes page here:
http://www.simplifiedme.com/stores/subscription-boxes/
– When I need to make changes to the Storefront theme I need to activate it and then make changes. Once done, I simply reactivate the AWSM
– When I activate the Page Builder plugin, it appears in the pages, it operates as expected when configuring the page
– When I click update to publish the changes the error below occurs. I’m not a WordPress or coder so am only guessing based on the logic of the string that something may have been overwritten when I was changing the themes back and forth. I could be completely wrong. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Warning: Illegal string offset ‘info’ in /home/[FOLDER NAME]/public_html/wp-content/plugins/siteorigin-panels/siteorigin-panels.php on line 504

Fatal error: Cannot unset string offsets in /home/[FOLDER NAME]/public_html/wp-content/plugins/siteorigin-panels/siteorigin-panels.php on line 505

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi twest1,

Can you double check which version of Page Builder you’re using?

Just double checked and I’m running Version 2.0.7.

Everything should be fine in that version. Can you try disable all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if that fixes the issue? If it does, then slowly reenable your plugins one by one until the issue comes up again. This will help you diagnose which plugin is causing the problem.
