Display posts from Multiple categories issue

I am trying to use this widget:
http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/recent-posts-widget-extended

which is working fine with wordpress default widgets but not with siteorigin page builder, really this is serious issue for who want to display portfolio works from multiple categories.
