Hi,
I created a custom widget inside the theme with the Widget bundle framework and I ran in some trouble:
– the banner.svg that I placed in assets folder did not work, because of the wrong path (it started with the path to the plugin folder)
– the other path problem was for the template file, so I had to use this filter: siteorigin_widgets_template_file_* to make it work
So i think that there is a problem with the paths if the widget is defined in the theme. You also have a comment in SiteOrigin_Widgets_Widget_Manager class: “@todo examine this when using a widget in a theme folder.” .
We really like your plugins (builder and widget bundle) so I would really love it if the widget bundle framework would work smoothly inside a theme as well :)
Keep up the good work. This widget framework has great potential!
Take care!
