Hi Steve,
Could you please elaborate on what you expect to see? Just to confirm; are you using the text widget, or the editor widget? The former doesn’t have “controls” while the latter does. Please ensure you’ve expanded the toolbar by clicking the toolbar toggle icon.
When I insert the siteorigin editor into a row, and click on it to edit, all of the WYSIWYG controls are missing. If I click the text butto, it shows the code but if I click on the visual button, all the controls are missing.. I’ve tried deactivating plugins to see if there is a conflict but nothing works. I did just have a theme update. I’m using a custom theme, U-Design. I had this issue once before and itwas caused by Black Studio TinyMCE Widget which i deactivated and it solved the issue.. I have no idea what could be the problem this time?
One more thing… when I create a new page, insert a row, then the Siteorigin ” rich text” editor, I seem to have the controls.. but if I repeat the process.. the controls are missing in the editor? Odd..
Hi Steve,
That definitely looks like a plugin conflict – the main issue being a JavaScript error. Hm. Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:
[email protected]
Just navigate to UsersAdd New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the Send Password field so we receive the details.
Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.
yes, I’ll go ahead and create the account. thanks.

Hi Steve,
Thanks – checking now.

Hi Steve,
As suspected, you have a plugin conflict. The conflict is with Traffic Player Pro.
I would recommend contacting the plugin developers about this issue. Basically, the issue here is that they’re always assuming that each Tinymce form will be the same (data and structure wise, not literally) – which isn’t the case. This plugin will likely cause issues with any plugin that uses the wp_editor() function.
Ah.. I never even tried deactivating that one.. I’ve had it installed and tested and it never caused a conflict until the I updated.. Oh well.. thanks for tracking it down for me.. I appreciate it much!
