Conflict with Tableau Public and SiteOrigin themes – how to resolve

By Andrew Misplon, 10 years ago.

Tableau Public and SiteOrigin themes both make use of a third-party script called FitVids (http://fitvidsjs.com/). In order to make your SiteOrigin theme work with Tableau Public you’ll need to de-register FitVids from your theme.

Here is a child theme for Origami: https://siteorigin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/origami-child-fitvids.zip. Install via Appearance > Themes > Add New: Upload. The child theme will de-register FitVids. Please keep in mind that Appearance > Customizer and Appearance > Menus will lose their settings when activating a child theme.

If you’d like a child theme to handle this for another SiteOrigin theme or would like to ask a question on this topic please let us know below.
