Changing fonts in themes

At 70 years old I should be doing anything but starting a blog. However, I’m determined. I just discovered SiteOrigin a day ago. Portal and Origami both extraordinary in their simplicity but it isn’t clear to me whether only the font shown in the original theme can be used, or whether there’s a selection available, or whether I can download my own favorite fonts. I apologize for asking such a basic question, but I really need to know. I’m very font-sensitive!

    Hi Robert

    Thanks for reaching out.

Origami Premium offers a selection of Google Fonts for the following areas:

    Body Font
    Title Font
    Heading Font

If you’re interested you can take a look at the Origami Premium offering from Appearance > Origami Premium.

Portal and Origami Free unfortunately don’t offer this. There are however a few Google Font plugins you could consider:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-google-fonts/
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-google-fonts/

There has been a Google Font plugin conflict reported with our Page Builder plugin. So if you run into any hassles with Page Builder and you’re running a Google Font plugin, try turning it off to see if that’s the cause of the problem.
