Change space between menu icons and text

Hello
I found this earlier thread https://siteorigin.com/thread/change-space-between-menu-icons-and-menu-text/ however the custom css does not have an effect on the spacing. Its very noticeable on a mobile device such an an iphone where the icon is literally right next to the first word of the title.

Am i missing something?

I also have the paid version but cannot find the order number since I do not have the email anymore. I went to general settings to find one but its asking me for the order number instead of giving it to me.
