Change menu bar colour in Focus

Resolved 5 replies themetheme-focus

Hi,

How can the colour of the menu bar be changed in the Focus theme? There’s no Header option except to upload/choose a logo or set the main menu.

Is changing the menu bar colour an option in the premium version? Since there’s only one menu, making navigation space scarce, can menus drop down?

Thanks.

    Hi Mark

This is unfortunately not an option in Focus Premium either. Please see the Custom CSS indicated here to resolve:

Focus Premium has a Custom CSS option under Appearance. For Focus Free you can use a plugin like Simple Custom CSS or the Custom CSS module bundled with Jetpack.

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks Andrew.

I notice there are no sidebars. Would I have to use the Page Builder to create them.

Also, I have custom post type but the Page Builder button does not show in the editor for a new custom post. Other plugins that I have that insert buttons are still showing, namely GravityForms and MailPoet. Any ideas why?

    Thanks.

There is a sidebar widget area in posts. Try adding a widget to Appearance > Widgets: Sidebar and you should see it appear. For pages, ensure the page template in the right column is set to Default and the sidebar should appear if widgets are added to it. Under Appearance > Widgets you’ll see there is a sidebar for posts and a different one for pages.

For your last question, can you head to Settings > SiteOrigin Page Builder and confirm that your custom post type is checked under Post Types.

Thanks Andrew. I had been looking at the navigation through the Customizer but when I go via Appearance -> Widgets, I see it. Also it was my fault re the button. I had configured Page Builder when I first installed it but I edited my custom type (changed the name) and forgot all about Page Builder settings.
