Can’t install page builder

Hi,

Sorry I posted my message on someone’s thread, I am starting a new one but could not erase the first one.

I can’t install page builder and have the same message:

“Downloading install package from https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/siteorigin-panels.2.1.2.zip…
Unpacking the package…
Installing the plugin…
Destination folder already exists. /web/crowdsconsultin/www/wp-content/plugins/siteorigin-panels/
Plugin install failed.
Return to Plugin Installer”

I also downloaded the .zip file and uploaded it on my plugin “add new” page but it does not work…

“Unpacking the package…
Installing the plugin…
Destination folder already exists. /web/crowdsconsultin/www/wp-content/plugins/siteorigin-panels/
Plugin install failed.”

Unfortunately I am new at WordPress and don’t know what a FTP is…

I am working with Maskitto Light theme by Shufflehound, which is great, but I think that I can’t set the homepage without your plugin, Page Builder by SiteOrigin.

Is there a solution :)?

Please tell me if I should create a new post.

    Hi,

So I got this answer on another post and was able to fix my problem:

    “Hi Ana
Most hosting control panels have a file manager. You can use your hosting file manager to navigate your server. Go to wp-content/plugins/ and delete the ‘siteorigin-panels’ folder.
If you struggle with this please ask your hosting company for help.
For further assistance, please open a new thread:

    Thanks :)”

So I contacted my hosting company and they told me to download “FileZilla” to navigate the content of the FTP. It allowed me to find the “wp-content/plugins/” and there was indeed a “siteorigin-panels” folder that I deleted.

After that, I was perfectly able to download the “Page Builder” Plugin.

    Thanks a lot :)!

    Cheers,

    Ana
