Cannot load Estate-plus into Godaddy “Managed WordPress”

Hi, I’m using the Estate theme on a Managed WordPress website (hosted/managed by GoDaddy). I’ve then also downloaded the Estate-Plus add-on. However, I don’t know how to get the ‘add-ons’ into my theme/profile/site.

I called the GoDaddy help line who directed me to upload the zip file as a new theme, however it fails saying:

“Unpacking the package…
Installing the theme…
The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.
Theme install failed.”

They’ve then told me to contact you guys as perhaps you’ll be able to send me the complete theme as a zip (i.e. including hte style.css stylesheet)?

Please can you help me, I’ve no idea what to do :o(

    Please ignore my question, I’ve found the solution. Upload the zip file as a plugin, not a theme! SO much to learn here……

    Glad to hear you found the way forward there.

    It’s not super common to bundle a premium theme upgrade as a plugin so I’m not sure this is a general WordPress learning situation :)
