Hi,
Great theme, but I cannot figure out what happened to my site title, which became obscured once I uploaded the header image. And also, the header image is left justified, and I cannot figure out how to center it.

Can you help with these two questions?

My site is http://polishpensionhelp.org.

Thank you!
Robert

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Rob Lebo

    Your site is currently showing under construction

    Would it be possible for you to create a temporary user account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:

    [email protected]

    Just navigate to Users > Add New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve enabled the “Send Password” field so we receive the details.

    Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

    Thanks

    Hi Magus,
    I would appreciate the help.
    I signed you up as a user; I hope you got the password.
    If not email me rlebowitz AT yahoo.com

    I found an answer on the message board here to the same questions but it didn’t work with my site.
    Thanks.

    Hi Magus,
    I’m not sure why you didn’t get it, but no matter–I opened my site to the public so you can now see the header image.
    I am still confounded on how to center it so I would appreciate any advice.
    Thanks!!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Rob

    To do this you will need to use a Custom CSS editor. If you do not already have one please install this plugin

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/so-css/

    Then navigate to Appearance->Custom CSS, or to your preferred editor and add the following

    #logo {
      text-align: center;
    }

    Let us know how you get on

    Hi Magus,

    Well–it works!! Thanks a lot!

    Question for you: why couldn’t I place the css in the child theme’s style.css? (I tried and it didn’t work.)

    Thanks again!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Rob

    The child theme CSS gets loaded before the parent theme CSS, so there is always a possibility that any entries there will be overridden by the parent. If this does happen you can use the !important attribute to ensure that your custom CSS takes priority.

    The custom CSS editor gets loaded at the end, just before the WordPress customizer CSS.

    Hey Magus,
    That’s interesting because with other themes I’ve used (WP standard themes, twenty-eleven, twenty-twelve, etc.) the style.css of the child overrides the parent’s css automatically. But no matter, as long as I know now.
    Thank you again for the quick and helpful support!
    Best,
    Rob
