Hi,
Interested in your product, I searched to find out if this plug-in is compatible with a theme that already has a custom.css file. I have already made css updates to it and would rather be safe than sorry.
I couldn’t tell after reading much information on your product (sounds amazing) if I can only use the plug-in on your SiteOrigin themes only. I would definitely purchase if I could use it on the Flatbase theme.
Thanks,
Denise
Hi Webster32
Thanks for reaching out :)
SiteOrigin CSS is a free plugin. You’re welcome to try it with your theme. It’s update safe and won’t impact any of the theme files. Give it a go and see how it turns out.
Can you just tell me what file your CSS plug-in edits. That's all I really need to know. That would be most helpful since time is very important.
It doesn’t edit any files. Some Custom CSS plugins insert a style block in your site documents head inline, others insert a new CSS file. Ours uses the former method, a
block is inserted in the head of your site.
Hope that helps :)
Yes, Thanks that helps, that was the golden nugget!!! Just what I needed to know!
My question is why isn't this information somewhere easy to find in your content? If it is… it's buried somewhere. Trust me I tried to find the answer.
Thanks again Andrew
Glad that helped.
Sure, it’s a bit of assumption from our side. This is the way all Custom CSS plugins function. WordPress themes completely overwrite their own folder on update so it wouldn’t safe to directly edit themes files.
Thanks for your feedback. I’ll log a ticket on our side to include this information in the plugin description. We appreciate the input.
Have a good weekend. Cheers from Cape Town :)
Sure, your plug-in looks awesome, but that was my first concern before trying it out.
Now that I know exactly where SO CSS writes to… I'm good.I don't have to worry or waste time.
Enjoy your weekend. Cheers from New York ?
