Call to Action Widget – can I link to specific page location

Hi,

I want to link my Call to Action buttons to a specific location further down the same page. Is that possible with the Call to Action widget in Page Builder, and if it is how do I do it?

Thanks.

    Hi Saskia

Where on the page do you want the buttons to link to?

    Hi Magus,

I want the button to link to the Pricing section, about 3/4 of the way down the page.

    Hi Saskia

I will give you instructions on how to achieve this in case you need to do it for other items.

Scroll to the item in question and right click on the text you want to link to. From the popup menu select the option to inspect element.

This will open the ‘Developer Console’ and highlight the line in the page relating to that text. If you look at the lines above you will see one listed with a class of ‘so-panel’ and at the end an ID. This ID is what we need to know to create the link.

The item you want to link to in this case has an ID of ‘panel-4-20-0-0’.

In your call to action button for the destination URL enter ‘#panel-4-20-0-0’. The hash symbol tell the link that it is to a named anchor (ID).

    That’s all.

Let us know how you get on
