Adding HTML when PageBuilder strips it – workaround?

Based on reading some threads here, I get that building a page with PageBuilder is incompatible with putting HTML in a text widget inside PageBuilder. Looking for a workaround… I have HTML to make an ImageMap and it works on nonPageBuilder page, but when I use PageBuilder and insert the WordPress Text or HTML widget, pasting the HTML in does not work.

Regular default page with imagemap:

Regular PageBuilder home page works:

Putting the Imagemap HTML in a wordPress text widget in a PageBuilder row does not work.

So is it perhaps possible to make a custom .PHP template that can include a place to put the Imagemap HTML? That would be inconvenient to edit every time the ImageMap changes.

Any other workaround ideas?
