A bracket shows up after every toutube video posted

After every youtube video I post there is a “)” close bracket symbol. I can’t figure out why for the life of me.

Otherwise, just bought this theme and love it so far.

Helppppppp

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Benjamin

I actually just noticed this too in a site I was working on (not using focus). I’m trying to figure out what’s causing it, but I think it might be a problem with WordPress oEmbed and YouTube. I’ll let you know what I find.

I’m getting the same thing. I was playing around with this widget a few days ago and I can remember seeing this happening. I have reinstalled it since then and now it’s appeared. Was there a recent code change?

It is actually a bug in the youtube embed code. It is just a ) sitting there at the end of the code.

Andrew at SiteOrigin was prompt to help me with that.

But it is still there when I post a video via the url which the enhanced videos only have an option for? IDK

Hey Ben – Did you find a solution? I’ve got the same problem

    Hi, I Work Here

It seems like the issue was resolved on YouTube’s side. The embed code that they’re sending through oEmbed no longer contains that closing bracket. The only problem is that the old embed code will still be cached in your database. I wrote a quick guide to clearing that cache.

    https://siteorigin.com/clearing-oembed-cache/

The other options are to just use the custom embed code on any pages that have the closing bracket cached, or to delete and recreate the posts.
