styling in custom css view different than what appears when page loaded

Using the visual or the expanded mode, I see the colors I have chosen to use for links. However, with this css code saved, the link colors do not show up in the actual view of the live webpage. I’m using the twentytwelve theme. I have code setting up the link, visited, active, and hover…
