Circle Icon Customization

I’m trying to insert my own image into the Icon widget. I can get my image to appear, but it gets cropped so only a small part of the image shows. I’ve tried reducing the size of the image in WP and by uploading a smaller png, but it gets stretched, and still doesn’t appear…
