Vantage premium theme – GTMetrix – Remove query strings

Hi, I am running the vantage premium theme. And GTMetrix (and several others) reccomend removing query strings. Now i have tried several plugins, and all of the versions where you manually input a bit of code into the themes functions.php to get it to remove theese query strings. But so far, none has worked.
