Visual Editor content in column does not display after update

I updated the content in the left column of my home page using the edit function in Visual Editor and the column will no longer display. I tried adding a new row with 2 – 50% columns re-inserted the Visual Editor widget, re-inserted the content to no avail. It will not display. All that displays are the right column content and the sidebar widgets.
