SiteOrigin Hero Picture Blocking Dropdown

Hello,

I am using the tesseract theme and I have added a row with a siteorigin hero widget and a large HD picture for my home screen. The issue I am having is that I cannot see the dropdown from my header menu items when I use this widget and post a picture. Was curious if anyone else had a similar issue?

    Hi Mark

    The issue is most likely related to z-index. This means that the z-index of the hero image is higher than the z-index of the dropdown menu.

    We’ve given dropdown menus in our own themes fairly high z-indexes to ensure that they always appear above page content. This is a good practice followed by many theme developers. The ideal here would be to contact the developers of Tesseract and ask them to either implement this, or give you some custom CSS to implement this.

    Or you could do this yourself with a plugin like SiteOrigin CSS, but you might still need some advice from the Tesseract team.
