Site Origin CSS – some suggestions

10 years ago · Last reply by Stephan Söderberg 9 years ago

Love the work you guys have done on the CSS Editor – brilliant – THANK YOU …

a few suggestions as you proceed …

It seems the css values are not pre-populated when one clicks on a selector?
Line numbers
Line wrap
Floating Save Button
After saving the screen is left where it was before i.e. not at the top of the list of css edits
Let there be a window rather than a large scroll all the way down to the bottom – annoying if there are loads of edits

Check out CSS Hero for they do some of their stuff – but I think you guys could do it better than that even.

Thanks again for listening and for producing such good free stuff.

    Hi Neal

Thanks so much for the awesome feedback. Very glad to hear you’re getting some value out of SiteOrigin CSS. I for one had a lot of fun making it.

Properly pre populating the fields with existing values is definitely high up on our TODO list. There are a few things that make this difficult, which is why we haven’t done this yet. As soon as I’m able to free up some time, I’ll definitely be taking on the challenge though :)

All the rest of your suggestions should be in the 1.1 release – and hopefully prepopulating values will be in there too.

Hmmm that was one year ago…

Still missing line wrap in the css editor + every time I mark a row with the pointer the hole sheet jumps ahead.
mostly because of the missing line wrap I think.

Hope that that can be fixed to next update (I like SiteOrigin CSS), in worst case I have to change css editor.

    cheers/Stephan
