Sidebar widgets do not show in sidebar on blog page

I am using the Pitch theme, the blog page is not the Home page. the sidebar widgets will not show on the Blog page, but If i change the page template to Page it shows. Also, with the page template set to BLOG, If i go under appearance and click on customize, the sidebar widgets are there and perfect. But cannot make them appear on the site. Can you help?
