Pitch Slider Not Displaying Correctly (etc.)

What is going on with the front page slider. I’ve made no updates to it in forever, but recently it started displaying oddly, with pictures down in the squares instead of the description under the slide title.

Also – if I go to the Theme area and choose “Customize” – it will not load the theme. It just keeps loading and loading and loading….so I can no longer even edit the slides.

    Re-loaded the Pitch files with FTP to the appropriate folder…

    but it still will not load in the Customize “Live Preview”
