Lost all Formatting on Site Origin Page Builder

By brodieb, 8 years ago. Last reply by Greg Priday, 8 years ago.

I have lost all formatting on all elements built using page origin. I have been using Zerif Lite as the theme and all the elements pertaining to the theme are still functioning properly. All my content is still on the pages with site origin but i have lost all my formatting and the content is now stacked as if on a regular page.

Is there a fix or a solution for this? it appears as if something as effected the site origin content coding.

Thanks

Brodie

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Brodieb

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

    Hi Greg,
I have deactived all plugins other then site origins plugins and i have no change. When i go to a page i notice that all the rows are gone and it keeps asking me if i want to copy current formatting in to page builder? i have no idea why it is asking me that?

Could loading a another plugin completely override site origin?

    Hi Brodieb

We had a problem in the past where Javascript errors in other plugins could cause Page Builder to lose its data, but we have since added protection against this issue. There might still be other ways that a plugin could damage Page Builder data though.

The easiest thing to do in this case would be to restore an older version of your page. Page Builder stores its data in post revisions.

    Hi Greg,

Thank you very much, I ended up turning off all the Plugins on my entire page, Then loading a another theme and then re-loading my theme back in which from what i have gathered then reset the WordPress coding that was damaged. I then reloaded all of the Site Origins plugins one by one and then had to restore each page to a previous version one by one also and this seems to have fixed the issue.

I believe the issue lied in a plugin effecting WordPress and how it interacted with some plugins and site origin was just caught up in the mix.

I have resolved the issue but i would like to say thank you for your prompt service and reply’s and also to site origin for some fantastic plugins!
