I’ve installed CSS Editor. When I open the visual editor there is no inspector along the bottom. My web page is there but functioning with normal navigation, no code preview.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Je11yfish

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If the inspector still does not work after disabling the plugins could you please check for any JavaScript errors when opening the inspector window.

Nailed it, Magus. NextGEN Gallery by Photocrati plugin was causing the issue. I did as instructed and disabled all plugins, then enabled them one by one. This was the only plugin found to cause the issue.

I’ve re-enabled it for now since it does hold some content for the site. Let me know what alternate you would recommend and I’ll install that instead.

    Thanks again!

    Hi Je11yfish

Please keep using this plugin for the time being. Greg is working on some updates for the plugin which should resolve the conflicts where these plugins are preloading their scripts. As soon as the update is rolled out you should see no more issues.

    Hi!
Ich had the same problem. The plugin causing the missing inspector was “W3 Total Cache”
    Any ideas to replace it?

    Clemens
