Clearly Theme featured post images sizing off on home page

By obli, 9 years ago. Last reply by Magus, 9 years ago.

Hi,

I am using clearly theme (have child theme installed) something funny happening, I have 2 posts both featured images are .png and are both the same size, yet on the home page my second featured post image is cut off.

You can see it here:

This is the image being cut off: http://iheartbaker.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/SleepyBaker.png
(from post: http://iheartbaker.com/sleepy-baker/)

This one is ok: http://iheartbaker.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/MeetBaker650.png
(from post: http://iheartbaker.com/meet-baker/)

I uploaded both the same way on the post page as featured image, did I do something wrong the second time?

I really like the way the posts are displayed on the home page for this theme, is there a premium version can’t seem to find it, I would love to buy it, if not can I buy a plugin to display the posts like this on vantage premium? I use Vantage premium for another one of my sites.

Thank you for your time,

Mary

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Obli

Please check the image you have selected for the featured image of the first post. This image is a fixed size image rather than the full image. If you change this to a full image then it should display correctly.

let us know how you get on

    Hi Magus,

When I set the featured image in the post I don’t get the option for full or fixed image, where would that option be?

I also noticed that there is also not option in the post to enable comments even though I enabled them in discussion, is it because of the theme? Do I have to add anything to add feature options?

    Thank you for your time,

    Mary

    Hi Mary

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

The issue with the images is down to the version of the image chosen for the featured image. The images that do not show correctly are resized versions by WordPress. An example of one which does not work is

    http://iheartbaker.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/PosingBaker03-650×260.png

whereas if this was changed to

    http://iheartbaker.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/PosingBaker03.png

    it would work fine.

I can see comment options on all the post pages, have you resolved this issue?

    Magus
