Background generator (bg.siteorigin.com/)

Hi all.

The background generator is pretty coold.

Does anyone understand the different modes:

Over, add, atop, blend?

For example, if I enter a base colour, the background uses the base colour and adds the pattern in black over top.

I wonder if there is a way to use the background and add the pattern over top in a colour other than black.

For example, tan and beige to simulate paper.

If anyone has any info about how to do this, I would appreciate hearing from you.
