Removing the Play button for individual posts

Hi, I'm looking for a way to remove the PLAY button on the Focus slider for posts that aren't a video.

Non Video Posts

I would like to know how I can remove the Play button overlay from the slider for posts that have a given category ex: News.Also, how do I change the phrase "Video By" to "Submitted By" on the single post…
